Does ScreenSwarm work on Macs and Linux?

No, only Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

 

Can I See My Own Website in ScreenSwarm?

No, you will never see your own website in ScreenSwarm (unless someone else is advertising the same site).

 

Can I install ScreenSwarm on more then one computer?

Yes, you may install ScreenSwarm on as many computers as you like.

 

Can I browse websites without closing ScreenSwarm?

No, clicking on a website closes ScreenSwarm then opens the website in your Internet browser.

 

How Long is Each Website Displayed in ScreenSwarm?

Each website is displayed for 20 seconds.

 

How Do I Uninstall ScreenSwarm?

Click on your [Start] menu for Windows and browse your programs until you find [ScreenSwarm].  Then click [Uninstall]. 

Or, you can re-run the ScreenSwarm installer to uninstall.

 

When Do I Get Paid My Commissions?

We pay commissions two months after your balance goes over $25.
Example: If your commissions went over $25 in January, you would be paid by the end of March.

 

How Do You Pay My Commission?

By PayPal or Alert Pay.  You can edit your preferences for this under the [My Account], then [Preferences] section on the web site when you login.

 

How Many Web Sites Can I Advertise On ScreenSwarm?

This depends on your membership level:

  • Free members - 1 url at a time
  • Silver - 10 urls
  • Gold - 25 urls
  • Life - 50 urls

 

How Do I Change the Idle Time it Takes for ScreenSwarm to Start?

Look at this if you have Windows XP (Vista is probably similar):

  1. Right click on your desktop, left click [Properties].
  2. Go to the [Screen Saver] tab.
  3. Change the number beside [Wait:]. This is the amount of time your computer sits idle before ScreenSwarm starts up.
  4. Make sure the "on resume, password protect" check box next to wait is unchecked. (This may cause problems with ScreenSwarm)
  5. Click [OK].

 

My Screen Is Blank, Screen Saver Doesn't Start, How do I fix this?

Try changing your power saving options (Windows XP):

  1. Right click on your desktop, click [Properties].
  2. Open the [Screen Saver] tab, click the [Power] button.
  3. Increase the time beside Turn off monitor.  Click [Apply].
  4. You may also have to increase the time beside System standby and System hibernates.

Changing power settings for Windows Vista/7:

  1. Right click on your Desktop, click [Personalize].
  2. Click the [Screen Saver] icon.  Click [Change power settings].
  3. Beside your power plan, click [Change Plan Settings].
  4. Increase the time beside [Turn off the display].  You may also have to increase the time beside [Put the computer to sleep].  Click [Save Changes].

 

Turn off  "on resume, password protect" (XP):

  1. Right click on your desktop, left click [Properties].
  2. Go to the [Screen Saver] tab.
  3. Make sure the "on resume, password protect" check box is unchecked.  Click [Apply].

Turn off  "On resume, display logon screen" (Vista/7):

  1. Right click on your desktop, left click [Personalize].
  2. Click the [Screen Saver] icon.
  3. Make sure the "On resume, display logon screen" check box is unchecked.  Click [Apply].

 

I Entered the Wrong Member ID, What Do I Do?

You have to re-install ScreenSwarm to re-enter your member ID

 

My website isn't receiving site views, what do I do?

Make sure you assign views to your website:

  1. When logged in, click the [My Sites] icon on the [Home] page.
  2. Click the [Edit] text link next to one of your websites.
  3. Put the amount of views you wish to assign in the [Assign Screen Views:] text box and click [Save].  Your site will begin showing shortly.

 

How do I auto-assign views to my website?

  1. When logged in, go to [My Account] in the left menu, click [Preferences].
  2. Change [Screen Views Assignment Mode:] to [Auto-Assign Screen Views Equally].
  3. Click [Save].  Views will be automatically assigned to your ads every 10 minutes.
